David Byrne

Charismatic leader of the Talking Heads. Aside from his important role as a musician, Byrne broke new ground in various other arts, directing films, acting or writing scripts. Byrne’s musical composition, be it Broadway musicals, documentaries or features films, makes him a world reference.

Alexandre Desplat

One of the most respected composers in the world, Desplat is responsible for the music in films as fascinating as Stephen Frear’s “The Queen”, Jacques Audiard’s “Un Prophète”, David Fincher’s “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” or even Wes Anderson’s “Fantastic Mr. Fox”. He is currently working with Terrence Mallick on “The Tree of Life”.

Manfred Eicher

Founder of the mythical ECM Records. He has established an exquisite and prestigious link to various musical genres and he has published from the most respected names in jazz, such as Keith Jarrett or Paul Bley, the complete soundtracks of Nouvelle Vague and Histoires du Cinema by Jean-Luc Godard, compositions that Manfred Eicher himself also produced.

Rui Horta

Born in Lisbon, Rui Horta started to dance at the age of 17 at the Ballet Gulbenkian. He studied, danced and taught contemporary dance for several years in New York, before returning to Portugal, where he directed the Lisbon Dance Company and was one of the leading forces in the development of the new Portuguese dance. Later with his own free-lance group, he created “Line and Interiors“. With these two pieces he began touring in Europe. He was then invited to start S.O.A.P., a residence Company at the Künstlerhaus Mousonturm in Frankfurt.

Cindy Sherman

North-American Photographer, artist and director. Having deconstructed and innovated the typical conception of self-portrait, she has made her place in the visual arts and her work is displayed in well-established museums all throughout the world.
